TERMS & CONDITIONS

 

Please read and acknowledge the following terms and conditions. When you submit an order, it must be placed strictly in accordance with these conditions.

 

My aim is that every customer is happy with their purchase. I believe that this can be achieved with goodwill, honesty and patience from both parties.

The procedures and general principles of www.stephiebutler.com do not supersede statutory rights under the Sale of Goods acts but simply provide the guidelines by which I operate.

 

SHIPPING TIMES AND COSTS

IMPORTANT   There are times when I am away from home teaching so your order will be delayed but will be sent out as soon as I return. In the case of original Paintings, they may also be at exhibition, so may take a little longer.  Otherwise, all orders will be shipped within 5 working days. I will email you once an order is placed to advise you. If you require something urgently, please do contact me before ordering. 

 

Shipping is automatically calculated prior to submitting your payment information.  This charge is added to the cost of the goods and is to cover carriage, administration and the packing costs of the goods to the delivery address. If you have any special requirements then please contact me. Special delivery requirements may incur an additional cost, which will be quoted upon request.

 

Simply add items to your cart and proceed to the Checkout page where costs will be shown. Any single item over £300 will be shipped free of charge. Where possible all original works will be shipped, fully tracked and insured. Your item will require a receipt of signature on delivery. 

Delivery times are estimated and may vary either way. 

  • Uk Mainland: Tracked & Signed – 3-5 working days-£8

  • Europe: Tracked & Signed - 5-7 working days -£12

  • International Worldwide: Tracked & Signed -7-10 days-£14

 

All greetings cards are generally shipped free of charge. If you require a large amount, please contact me first as they may not be in stock in the amount you require. 

 

SHIPPING AND CARING FOR YOUR PURCHASE.

All paintings are shipped unmounted and unframed unless otherwise stated. Note: I do not ship any painting under glass. Small paintings may be packaged flat between sturdy foam core. Depending on the size of the painting, smaller ones can be mounted at an extra cost.  All other paintings will be shipped rolled in a tube.

When you receive them, gently remove from the tube and allow to unfurl naturally for 24 hours.  After that, you can place a gentle weight on the paper to get perfectly flat again. It is important that watercolours are mounted using acid free mountboard and framed behind glass. Watercolour paintings should always be kept out of direct daylight to prevent fading over time, this will ensure your original artwork remains in perfect condition for many years. MONITOR COLOUR

Actual colours vary depending on monitors they are viewed on. This is due to the fact that every computer monitor has a different capability to display colours and that everyone sees these colours differently. I spend a long time editing photos to show the products as true to colour as possible, but please understand the actual colour may vary slightly from your monitor. I cannot guarantee that the colour you see accurately portrays the true colour of the product.

 

RETURNS

I want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If for some reason you are not satisfied you can return the goods within 14 days of receipt. You can choose to have a refund, exchange or credit.

 

All products must be returned in new (undamaged) condition, in original shipping container and be returned with all accompanying certificates and paperwork you received with your order You must email me in advance of your return to receive authorisation.

 

Once you receive authorisation, the returned item must arrive back in my studio within the (14 days UK) (21 days for overseas) of authorisation. The cost of returning the item will be your responsibility, but I would be happy to deduct it from a further painting if required. When returning the item, you must ensure that it is not lost or damaged in transit by sending fully tracked and insured. Please note that it can take up to 7 days for the item to reach its destination, so make sure you allow enough time. If you would like to exchange your purchase, please contact me first. 

 

ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE AND LOSS IN TRANSIT

Should the goods become damaged or lost in transit, then please advise me immediately. I will try to locate the goods as soon as possible. I will never knowingly send out goods that are faulty or damaged prior to packing.

If the goods arrive and the packaging appears to be badly damaged then please make some form of documentation on the delivery note, before opening the packaging. If possible try to open the damaged packaging in the presence of the carrier. If you are unable to, then sign for the goods as "Damaged package, uninspected goods", so that in the event of a claim against the carrier, both parties are aware where the responsibility lies. Please contact me in the event of any damage so that we can sort this as soon as possible.

 

PAYMENT/CURRENCY

All prices on www.stephiebutler.com are quoted in pounds sterling and include V.A.T. @ 20% for purchases in the UK and Europe. International orders are subject to any applicable customs, duties, fees or taxes and are the responsibility of the recipient of the order.

All payments will be taken in GBP sterling. 

 

There are two options of payments on the checkout. Once in checkout, choose either: 

  • Credit/Debit Card option: This will be converted by your credit card provider in your local billing currency. 

  • Paypal: where you will be directed to your PayPal account. 

All card payments on my shop are taken through Stripe. Please note I do see, have access to or hold any information regarding you bank details or cards. Should you wish to see the privacy policy of the merchant, please visit their website: https://stripe.com/gb/privacy

 

CUSTOMER CONFIDENTIALITY

All information supplied to me by customers will be held as confidential. It may be stored on a computer database for my use only and will not be supplied to any third parties. Mailing information may be used by me to inform you news updates and any exhibitions of paintings that I feel may be of interest to you. If you do not wish to be contacted by me in the future then please do let me know. You can also unsubscribe at the bottom of the newsletter.  You can of course at any time request to see any information I have stored. This will only ever consist of emails, where supplied through mailing request and address where supplied for goods to be sent.

 

LAW

All transactions through www.stephiebutler.com are governed by English Law, therefore legal actions arising from any transactions through this website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England.
